This is an easy 30 day plank challenge, but feel free to adapt it for your own needs. Start wherever you are. The important this is to just start. A body in motion stays in motion. Doing what we can not only keeps us from losing that ability one day, but it also makes us stronger and more fit.
Once you finish 30 days, do not feel like you have to stop there. It can be continued for as long as you like.
This is an easy 30 Day Plank Challenge that I recently did. A friend had shared a link to one on facebook, and I thought, “Why not? I’m on a roll with this fitness thing with my steps every day.” Then I clicked on the link. The particular 30 day plank challenge that my friend shared went from 20 seconds to 5 minutes in 30 days. 5 minutes is not going to happen, and especially in 30 days. I barely had use of my hands at all last year and am still not 100% with them, so I adapted it for my situation. That is the great thing about a 30 day challenges, you can adapt it to where YOU are. I was ECSTATIC to be able to do this.
The original challenge said to do it once a day. I wanted it to be a little easier to move up to the next step without hurting myself, so I did it 3 times a day.
So this was my schedule…
And remember, we are starting where we are. And that’s OK. The important thing is to start. It’s exhilarating and empowering to see your progress. It will boost your confidence to become stronger and stronger. And at the end of the day, strong and healthy are goals.
