I used to question them… but not so much anymore. I remember in the Margaret Feinberg Bible study, Wonderstruck, she shared how she was going to visit a terminally ill friend. She got a sudden urge to pick up some toilet paper. She thought it was crazy and tried to dismiss it but she couldn’t shake the thought. So she showed up at her friend’s house with the hugest package of toilet paper. A couple weeks later, their friends contacted them to thank her for the toilet paper. They said they had so many visitors and things were so busy, they were thankful they didn’t have to go out and buy toilet paper. God took care of their every need… including toilet paper.

I guess the thing is, we can only be God’s hands and feet if we open our hearts and ears to listen to what he is telling us to do.

Thanks for sharing, inspiring, and reminding us to be alert to those urges to act.

I feel those nudges to ‘DO something’ ‘SAY something’ ‘GIVE something’ and I push through the anxiety, the awkward moment, the excuses… because God calls us to respond to those swells of our spirit.

Thank you for this beautiful directive. It helps remind me of why I take those faithful ‘inconvenient’ and often uncomfortable steps…
