Hi Jennifer! Oh, I know. It is funny how with the amount of advertising is done on television how these things sneak up on us. I always tell myself that I will be better prepared for Thanksgiving and Christmas every year. I really feel this year is going to be the year. lol

The journal instead of the Mother’s Day card was a beautiful idea. I wish I would have done that years ago. We have access to so many more ideas than we ever did when mine were young, or when I was young. The picture with a quote would be a wonderful gift idea for your mom. I have a print from a picture my grown son took over my fireplace. There is just something about a picture your child takes (no matter their age) that is just as special as their art work when they were little.

Calling is a great idea if you do not live close enough for a visit. My sons know that there is nothing in the world that I love more than spending time with them. There are just always those occasions where we need to buy a mom a gift, and it can get hard, especially the older they get. We seem to have it all already. Hoping this list makes it easier for some this year.

I am with you, Jill. I think that would be nice having both Mother’s Day and her birthday close together. You’re kind of already in the idea mood. I have a friend whose 50th birthday falls on Mother’s Day this year. Hmmm…I am not sure how I would feel about that one. lol
